Aliko Dangote Woos Ibeju-Lekki Chiefs with Cash & Cars for Lands for his Refinery & Petrochemical Project

Nigerian business mogul Aliko Dangote on Sunday 9th February 2014, enticed local chiefs with cash and car gifts to give their lands to a Lagos free Trade Zone Project.
Aliko was taken on a visit to the residents of Ibeju-Lekki communities by Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola. Sahara Reporters reveals.
Inhabitants of the several villages in the interlocking communities, said they were cut out of plans to help resettle or be compensated by chiefs to displace them for Dangote’s prospected refinery and petrochemical project.
Residents resisted moving even after the Lagos state government told the police force a few days ago to dislodge them.
But on Sunday, Fashola cut land deals that would shortchange residents.
Aliko Dangote announced his decision to build refineries in 2013.
